"GOOD DESIGN EXHIBITION 2019" will present this year's all award winning designs that symbolize 2019. This year’s exhibition concept is “GOOD DESIGN MUSEUM”. At the beginning of the exhibition, you can review the history of GOOD DESIGN AWARD, which is over 60 years, then you can watch the whole award winning items over 1,400 winners at once.

Grand Award and its Finalists announced!
Out of 5 finalists, the Good Design Grand Award 2019 was awarded to "Diagnostic Kit [Rapid Diagnostic Kit for Tuberculosis]" at the "Grand Award Selection" held on October 31st. Detailed information on the winners and finalists can be found at the link below.

Screening Process
The selection process consists of two stages. In the first screening, the judges review the registered information online, then in the second screening they experience an actual product. After the screening, the “Good Design Award” has been selected. The second screening was conducted in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Korea. From all the Good Design Award winners, GOOD DESIGN BEST100 are selected, then from BEST100, Special Awards are selected, finally Grand Award is to be selected from Gold Awards.

The 2019 Good Design Award Jury welcomed 90 judges including designers, architects, and specialists in each field, domestically and internationally. The screening was conducted in 18 units (categories) under the jury chair Ms. Fumie Shibata and the vice-chair Mr. Seiichi Saito.

- The exhibitions in various locations in Tokyo Midtown Roppongi will be guided by the grid and G mark. Find your “good design”.

- About exhibition creative team
- The graphic design is created by Mr. Yoshiaki Irobe who just won the 21st Kamekura Yusaku Award, and the venue design is created by Naruse and Inokuma Architectural Design Office, who is also a member of the Good Design Award Jury. Mr. Tatsuya Kuji curated the entrance exhibition.

Good Design Long Life Design Award is given to designs that remain standard throughout time. Up to now, we will introduce 15 designs that will support our daily lives.

From GOOD DESIGN BEST100, you can see the unique designs such as bar-coil coils for reinforced concrete, rice transplanters, and playground equipment, with solutions to problems and new proposals.
From daily necessities, home appliances, architecture to industrial and medical devices that cannot be seen normally, apps and web, services, social contribution activities, there are about 1,300 award-winning designs this year. In the seminar room, the seminars "Judge's Insight" will be held for each category.
