このたびはグッドデザイン・ベスト100受賞内定おめでとうございます。
グッドデザイン・ベスト100は、グッドデザイン大賞・グッドデザイン金賞・グッドフォーカス賞（以下、特別賞）の候補となります。（賞の種類はこちらをご覧ください）
大賞以外の各特別賞は、9月27日に実施されるプレゼンテーション審査を経て、特別賞選考会で決定します。
つきましては、下記の要領をよく読み、ベスト100プレゼンテーション審査へのご参加をお願いいたします。

プレゼンテーションに関するお伝え事項や、皆さまからいただいたご質問は、審査の公平を期すため、本ページで随時、公開・共有させていただきますので、ご確認をお願いいたします。

GOOD DESIGN BEST100 winner will be the candidate for the special awards, such as GOOD DESIGN GRAND AWARD, GOLD AWARD and GOOD FOCUS AWARDS.(See the award structure)
Each special awards except for GRAND AWARD will be examined and determined on September 27th, at the Special Awards Screening Session. The Special Awards Screening Session consists of Part 1: BEST100 Presentation and Part:2 Special Awards Screening Session. You are requested to deliver an online presentation via zoom, please participate this screening session, reading the following carefully.
To ensure fairness in screening, information about this event and the candidate's FAQ will always be made public on this page.

2024年度グッドデザイン賞 特別賞審査会

第一部：ベスト100プレゼンテーション審査
日 時：2024年9月27日［金］ 10:00 - 15:00
※ プレゼンテーションは、全員zoomでのオンライン実施、もしくは事前のビデオ提出で行います。
※ 10:00〜15:00のうち、各自の参加時間は主催者が指定します。一人あたりの所要時間は最大で、主催者が指定する時間の前後15分程度のみです（各自の持ち時間そのものは1件あたり6分間ですが、待ち時間が発生する可能性を考慮に入れた「最大15分程度」が「所要時間」となります）。指定時間は後日個別にお知らせします。審査の都合上、応募者の都合による時間指定はできません。
※ プレゼンテーションはすべて非公開で実施します。10月中旬よりYouTubeにてプレゼンテーション映像のアーカイブ配信を行います。

第二部：特別賞選考会［非公開］
※ 第二部はどなたも観覧・見学はできません

GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2024 Special Awards Screening Session

Part 1: BEST100 Presentation
Date & Time: September 27 (Fri) 10:00-15:00 (JST)
* All presenters are requested to deliver an online presentation or to submit a video file in advance.
* The organizer will designate a time between 10:00 and 15:00 for each participant. The maximum time required per person is about 15 minutes before or after the time designated by the organizer (each presentation itself is 12 minutes with interpretation, but the maximum time required to participate is about 15 minutes, taking into account the possibility of waiting time). The designated time will be notified individually at a later date. Due to the screening process, the time cannot be specified at the applicant's convenience.
* Archived presentations video will be available on YouTube from mid-October.

Part 2: Special Awards Screening Session
This is not open to the public, no one can view or join.

ベスト100プレゼンテーション審査実施方法
100件のプレゼンテーションを4つのグループに分け、1グループあたり約25件ずつのプレゼンテーション審査を行います。各グループ、5〜6名の審査委員が審査を担当します。
1件につき、受賞者１名によるプレゼンテーション 4分＋審査委員との質疑応答 2分で実施します。

＊参加方法の選択肢は下記の2つの方法のいずれかとなります。8/23 13:00〜8/30 13:00の間に、必ずエントリーサイトでご登録をお願いします。

  1. zoomを通じたオンライン・プレゼンテーション（質疑応答あり）
  2. 事前のビデオ提出（質疑応答なし）

Implementation method of BEST100 Presentation
Presentations are divided into 4 groups, and about 25 presentations are held in each groups. Each group will be judged by a panel of five to six judges. Each candidate presenting in Japanese language will be given 4 minutes presentation time and 2 minutes Q&A with judges. If the presentation is delivered in a foreign language other than Japanese, with consecutive interpretation, the presentation will be given 8 minutes long and the Q&A session will be 4 minutes long.

* The options for participation will be one of the following two methods. Please make sure to register at the entry site between August 23 and August 30, 13:00 (JST).

  1. Online presentation via zoom (with Q&A session)
  2. Video presentation providing in advance (No Q&A session)
ベスト100プレゼンテーションは非公開での開催です。当日のライブ配信はありません。10月中旬より、ビデオをアーカイブ配信します。
GOOD DESIGN BEST100 Presentation will be held closed to the public. There will be no live streaming on the day. The video will be uploaded to YouTube from the middle of October.

実施ルールBasic Rules

  • プレゼンテーションは、グループごとに担当する審査委員5-6名に対して行っていただきます。オンラインでのプレゼンテーションのあとに、審査委員との質疑応答があります。
  • プレゼンテーション実施者（以下、プレゼンター）は、受賞対象のデザインに主体的に関わった方とします。
  • プレゼンターは1対象につき1名のみとします。ただし、日本語以外の言語でプレゼンテーションを行う場合には、通訳を同席させることができます。それ以外のいかなる例外も認められません。
  • 1対象につき、プレゼンテーション4分、審査委員との質疑応答2分＝合計6分の持ち時間が与えられます。これを超えてはなりません。ただし、日本語以外の外国語でプレゼンテーションを実施する場合は、逐次通訳で、プレゼンテーション8分＋質疑応答4分＝持ち時間12分が与えられます。
  • プレゼンテーションは、PowerPoint / Keynote / PDFなどのスライド資料をzoomの画面共有で見せながら実施してください。
  • プレゼンテーションは、9月27日の、事務局が指定する実施時間で行います。応募者の都合による時間の変更／指定はできません。実施時間は、9月初旬に通知予定です。
  • プレゼンター情報と希望するプレゼンテーション方法は、8月30日 13:00までにエントリーサイトで登録してください。以降の変更は原則不可とします（急病などによる不可抗力によるプレゼンターの変更は応相談）。
  • プレゼンテーションの言語が日本語の場合は、そのままプレゼンテーションを行ってください。日本語以外の言語でプレゼンテーションを行う場合には、必ず8/23〜8/30 13:00の間にエントリーサイトで登録してください。
    逐語通訳にてプレゼンテーションを行う場合、プレゼンテーション8分間＋Q&A4分間＝計12分間与えられます。
    英語の場合は、①主催者が用意する通訳を介して実施するか、②プレゼンター自身で通訳を手配して実施してください。
    英語以外の言語でプレゼンテーションを行う場合には、プレゼンター自身が通訳を手配し、同席させてください。
  • 9月27日当日の事務局が指定する時間にプレゼンテーションができない場合は、ビデオ（4分以内）で代替可能です。代替ビデオは、2024年9月18日（水）17:00までに主催者が指定するアップロードサーバにアップロードすることにより提出してください。アップロード方法などの詳細は、9月初旬までにメールで個別にお知らせします。
  • zoomプレゼンテーションで参加する場合は、バックアップとして、PDFに変換したプレゼンテーション・データを、2024年9月24日（火）17:00までに主催者が指定するアップロードサーバにアップロードしてください。アップロード方法などの詳細は、9月初旬までにメールで個別にお知らせします。
    アップロード完了の確認やデータの整合性の確認は行いません。
    海外から参加する応募者は、PDFのスライドデータに加え、別途4分間のプレゼンテーション動画をバックアップ用としてアップロードしてください。
  • 主催者側は強固な通信回線を用意していますので、通信状況に問題がある場合には、プレゼンター側の問題である可能性が高いということになります。当日は、通信状況の良い環境からのアクセスを強く推奨します。当日、主催者の責によらないトラブルでプレゼンテーションができない場合も、やり直しはできませんのでご注意ください。
  • プレゼンテーション本番前日までに、zoomの公式サイトでの「接続チェック」で接続状態の確認をしていただくことをお勧めします。
    とくに音声出力のある映像を画面共有する予定のある方は、映像がスムーズに再生されるかどうか、音がきちんと出力されているかどうか、を自社内などで、事前の接続確認を行うことを強くお勧めします。

  • The presentation shall be given to 5-6 judges. The Q&A session with the judges will follow the online presentation.
  • Presenter should be the person who has been actively involved in the design of the award-winning item.
  • Presentation should be delivered by 1 person only. However, if you are giving a presentation in a language other than Japanese, you can bring an interpreter. No other exceptions are allowed.
  • Each presenter presenting in Japanese language is given 4 minutes presentation time, and 2 minutes Q&A time with judges, total 6 minutes. This should not be exceeded. However, if the presentation is delivered by any other language than Japanese, by consecutive interpretation, a presenter is given 8 minutes presentation and 4 minutes Q&A, total 12 minutes (including translation time).
  • Presentation should be delivered with slides (PowerPoint / Keynote / PDF), using the function of “Screen Sharing” in zoom.
  • Presentations will be held on September 27 at the time specified by the organizer. The time cannot be changed. Implementation time will be announced in early September.
  • Please register the presenter information and the preferred presentation method on the entry site by 13:00 (JST), August 30. No further changes can be made. (Change of presenter due to force majeure, such as sudden illness, may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Ask the organizer.)
  • If you are delivering your presentation in Japanese, please proceed to deliver it in Japanese.
    If you wish to deliver your presentation in a language other than Japanese, please be sure to register at the entry site from August 23 until August 30, 13:00 (JST).
    In the case of a presentation with consecutive interpretation, 8 minutes for the presentation + 4 minutes for Q&A = 12 minutes total.
    If the presentation is to be delivered in English, please choose (1) conduct the presentation through an interpreter provided by the organizer, or (2) arrange for an interpreter by the presenter.
    If the presentation is to be delivered in a language other than English, the presenter themselves must arrange for an interpreter.
  • If you are unable to make a presentation at the designated time on September 27, as specified by the organizers, a video (up to 4 minutes) can be substituted. Video must be submitted by uploading them to the upload server designated by the organizer by 17:00 (JST) on September 18, 2024. Details on how to upload will be provided individually via email by early September.
  • If you participate by online presentation, please upload your presentation data converted to PDF to the upload server designated by the organizer by 17:00 (JST) on September 24, 2024 as a backup. Details on how to upload will be provided individually via email by early September. We do not confirm the completion of the upload or check the integrity of the data.
  • Applicants from outside Japan are requested to upload a separate 4-minute presentation video as a backup in addition to the PDF slide data.
  • The organizer has arranged for a robust internet connection, it is most likely a problem on the part of the presenter. On the day of the presentation, we strongly recommend that you access the site from an environment with good communication conditions. Please note that if a presentation cannot be made due to problems not attributable to the organizers on the day, no retakes or second chances will be permitted under any circumstances.
  • We highly encourage you to check the status of your connection using the "Test Meeting" on the official zoom website at least one day before your presentation.
    Especially if you are planning to share a video with audio output on the screen, it is highly recommended to check the connection in advance with your colleague to make sure that the video plays smoothly and the sound is output properly.

プレゼンテーション当日の流れ（zoom参加）Step by step on the presentation day (zoom)

  1. 指定の時間の5〜10分前に、zoomに接続してください。前後の審査の進行具合によって、プレゼンテーションを実際に開始できる時間は前後する可能性があります。待機室でお待ちください。
  2. 順番が来たら、待機室よりzoomに入室が許可されます。
  3. Zoomに入室したら、主催者より確認事項がありますので、注意深くお聞きください。
  4. 主催者が「では始めてください」と合図をしたら、画面共有を行い、プレゼンテーションを開始してください。この合図から4分間を計測します。
  5. 3分経過時と4分経過時に、アラーム音でお知らせします。4 分が経過したら、ただちにプレゼンテーションは終了してください。万が一4分を経過してもプレゼンテーションが終わらない場合、質疑応答に割り当てている2分から時間を差し引きます。
  6. プレゼンテーションが終了したら、質疑応答に移ります。
  7. 質疑応答が終了したら、zoomから退出してください。
  1. Connect to zoom 5 to 10 minutes before the designated time. The actual time you can start your presentation may vary depending on the progress of the preceding and following judging. Please wait in the waiting room.
  2. When your turn comes, you will be allowed to enter the zoom from the waiting room.
  3. Once you enter the Zoom, the organizer will ask you to confirm your information, so please listen carefully.
  4. When the organizer cues you by saying, 'You may start now,' please share your screen and begin your presentation. The time is measured from this signal.
  5. The alarm will sound when "1 minute left" and 4 (8) minutes have passed. When your time is up, please end your presentation immediately. In the case that the presentation is not completed after the allotted time, the time will be deducted from the time allotted for Q&A.
  6. The Q&A session will follow the presentation.
  7. When the Q&A session is over, please leave the zoom.

【注意事項　必ずお読みください】

  • zoom入室時、必ず表示名を「受賞番号_社名_プレゼンター氏名」としてください。
    表示名に不備がある場合、待機室より入室が許可されない場合がありますのでご注意ください。
  • 1応募者からの入室は、1接続しか許可されません。複数名での参加や接続は禁止されています。
  • 審査実施時間の5〜10分程度前にzoomURLにアクセスし、待機室でお待ちください。順番が来たら入室が許可されます。
    入室が許可されたら、事務局から簡単な注意事項のお伝えがあります。
    注意事項を確認した後、画面共有とプレゼンテーションを開始してください。
  • zoomに入室したら、事務局からのお伝え事項の間に、必ず「ギャラリービュー」にしてください。「ギャラリービュー」にすることで、タイマー表示画面を見ることができるようになります。
  • 審査実施時間は、進行状況により遅れる可能性があります。指定の時間より早く始めることはありませんが、数分程度遅れる可能性はあります。その場合は待機室でそのままお待ちください。
  • 必ず通信環境の安定した、周囲が静かな場所から接続してください。
    当方は専用固定通信回線を用意しています。当方の責によらない通信状況や機器の不具合、再生等のトラブルが起きた場合、審査時間の延長はできませんので、予めご承知おきください。
  • とくに共有するスライド資料内に動画が含まれる場合には、通信環境や、動画から音が出るかどうかなど、事前に自社内でリハーサルを行うなどして、応募者側で環境チェックを行ってください。
  • 例年、動画再生や音声出力でトラブルが散見されます。トラブルが発生しても時間の延長は行いませんので、応募者側でのテストやリハーサルは十分に行ってからご参加ください。

【Notes: Please read carefully】

  • When you enter the zoom, please make sure that the display name is "AwardNumber _ CompanyName _ PresenterName". Please note that if the display name is incomplete, you may not be allowed to enter the waiting room.
  • Only one connection per applicant is allowed for entry. Multiple participants or connections from a single applicant are prohibited.
  • Please access the zoomURL about 5-10 minutes before the screening time and wait in the waiting room. You will be allowed to enter the room when your turn comes. Once you are allowed to enter the room, the organizer will give you a brief instructions. After confirming it, please start your screen sharing and presentation.
  • When you enter zoom, please make sure to turn on "Gallery View" during the instructions from the organizer. If you do so, you will see the timer display screen.
  • The screening time may be delayed depending on the progress. We will not start earlier than the designated time, but there is a possibility that we may be a few minutes late. In that case, please wait in the waiting room.
  • Be sure to connect from a place with a stable connection environment and quiet surroundings. We have a private landline connection line. Please note that judging time cannot be extended due to communication issues, equipment malfunctions, or playback problems that are not within the organizer's responsibility.
  • In particular, if the slides to be shared include video, the applicant should check the environment by conducting a rehearsal by yourself beforehand to check the communication environment and whether the video sounds will be played properly.
  • In previous years, there have been recurring issues with video playback and audio output. Please be aware that no additional time will be allotted even in the event of technical difficulties. Therefore, all applicants are strongly urged to thoroughly test their equipment and conduct a full rehearsal before participating in the actual presentation.

A : No, any candidate's recordings/photo shooting is prohibited. For the purpose of recording, the organizer will video and take pictures.

Q : Does the judges examine the presentations after viewing the registered information?
A : Yes, the judges have viewed the registered information on the entry site in advance, and they can review it in their hands-on tablets at any time.

Q : I would like to give 6 (12) minutes presentation without Q&A. Is it OK?
A : No, it is not allowed. Presentation 4 minutes (with consecutive interpretation, 8 minutes) and Q&A 2 minutes (with consecutive interpretation, 4 minutes) is the rule.

Q: Is there any reference of the past event?

Q: When does the time measurement begin?
A: The time counter starts after the signal from the organizer “Please begin.”.

Q: What happens if the question is not raised?
A: If there are no questions, the time will be rounded up and will end even if it does not expire.

Q: Can we have two (or more) presenters?
A: Only one presenter is allowed, with no exceptions. You may embed a video in your slides, so if there are two or more people who would like to appear, please do so by appearing in a video/slide.

Q: If the award is for architectural work, can I make my presentation from that location?
A: Yes, that's acceptable. However, please keep in mind that wireless zoom connections tend to be unstable.

Q: If the award is for an object, can I show it in my presentation?
A: Yes, that's acceptable.

【データについて】

Q : 指定されたアップロードサイトを利用できない場合は、どうすれば良いでしょうか？
A : 主催者が指定するアップロードサイトを利用できない場合は、サードパーティのファイル転送サービスでファイルを送ってください（送付先メールアドレス：best100@g-mark.org）。その場合も、データ送付期限は変わりません。

Q: プレゼンテーションではなく「ビデオを提出（4分間）」で参加します。ビデオの内容やスペックを教えてください。
A: ビデオの内容にはとくに制限はございません。過去、ビデオのご提出だった方は、デザイナーさんがプレゼンテーションをしている様子の動画をビデオにされた方や、プロモーション用に作られたビデオをそのまま送ってこられた方など様々です。制限時間以内の動画であれば、内容についてはとくに禁止事項はございません。
もし日本語以外の言語で、逐次通訳でのプレゼンテーションビデオの場合には、持ち時間は8分間となります。日本語以外のプレゼンテーションでも、日本語字幕が入っている場合には4分間が持ち時間となります。

動画のスペックについては、できる限り、下記にてお願いします。

ここまで揃えられなくても、スクリーンの縦横比が16:9であれば結構です。高画質カメラを搭載しているスマホであれば、スマホで横位置で撮影した動画でも構いません。

Q : What should I do if the designated upload site is not available?
A : If the upload site specified by the organizer is not available for you, you can send the file using a third-party file transfer service (send to best100@g-mark.org ). Even if in that case, the deadline for sending data will not change.

Q: I am participating in a "Video Presentation”. What is supposed to be the content and specs of the video?
A: There are no restrictions on the content of the video. In the past, there was a variety of applicants send their videos of their designers giving a presentation, and others have sent us promotional videos. There are no prohibitions on the content of your video, as long as it is no longer than 4 minutes in length. If you are recording a presentation in a language other than Japanese with consecutive interpretation, you will have 8 minutes. If you are recording a video with Japanese subtitles, you will have 4 minutes.

Even if you can't get it all specifications, if the screen's aspect ratio is 16:9, it will be fine. If you have a smartphone that has a high quality camera, you can use a video shot in a horizontal position with your smartphone.

10月初旬　特別賞内定通知（エントリーサイトで通知します）

■ 特別賞を受賞しなかった場合

そのまま【グッドデザイン・ベスト100受賞】となります。

■ グッドフォーカス賞に選ばれた場合

  1. 10/16 13:30〜の受賞発表にて、グッドデザイン賞受賞対象、ベスト100受賞対象とともに特別賞を発表します。（とくにご対応いただくことはありませんが、自社からの受賞発表・公表もこの日時以降で行ってください）
  2. 11月5日に開催される受賞祝賀会で受賞代表者1名にご登壇いただきます。11月1日までに、登壇者の以下の情報を事務局までお知らせください。
    ・氏名
    ・社名・所属部署名・肩書名
    ・連絡先メールアドレス
    ・連絡先携帯電話番号

※グッドフォーカス賞登壇者の方も、会場への来場は一般来場者と同じ13:30より受付開始となります。

■ グッドデザイン金賞に選ばれた場合

グッドデザイン金賞受賞対象は、グッドデザイン大賞の候補となり、大賞投票の対象となります。

  1. 10月初旬にエントリーサイトおよび個別メールにて、ご連絡します。以下のご準備をお願いします。

    1.1　10月11日までに、受賞対象をアピールする動画（4分以内）を事務局の指定する方法でアップロードしてください。この動画は、グッドデザイン大賞投票サイトで審査委員・受賞者が閲覧できるようになるほか、受賞展会場や受賞祝賀会でも、受賞対象を紹介する目的で公開します。なお、期日までに提出されない場合には、9月27日に実施したベスト100プレゼンテーションでの動画を、本目的のための代替物として使用します。
    ビデオの言語が日本語でない場合は、日本語字幕か英語字幕をつけてください。

    1.2　11月5日に開催される受賞祝賀会で受賞代表者1名にご登壇いただきます。11月1日までに、登壇者の以下の情報を事務局までお知らせください。

    ・連絡先携帯電話番号
    ※壇上での個人名の読み上げはありません。

  2. 10月16日〜23日の期間で、審査委員・受賞者による大賞投票を実施します。ご自身の対象への投票を忘れないように行ってください。投票方法は、受賞対象をお持ちのアカウント向けに別途ご案内します。
  3. 前記2の期間に投票された大賞投票の結果は、11月5日に開催される受賞祝賀会の中でぶっつけ本番で発表します。事前の内定通知はありません。祝賀会の進行において金賞受賞者を大賞候補として紹介した後、大賞を発表します。金賞受賞者として登壇された方の中から大賞受賞者が出ることになります。大賞を受賞された登壇者は、そのまま大賞受賞記念プレゼンテーションを行っていただきます（大賞を受賞されなかった場合にはプレゼンテーションはありません）。大賞受賞記念プレゼンテーションは4分間です。大賞受賞に備え、すべての金賞受賞者は事前に投影資料（スライド）を事務局の指定する方法で10月28日までにアップロードしてください。大賞受賞記念プレゼンテーションのリハーサルは行いません。ぶっつけ本番でプレゼンテーションを行っていただきます。11月5日に大賞を受賞された場合の対応については、金賞受賞内定通知時（10月上旬予定）に詳細をお知らせします。
  • 金賞受賞対象を投票対象とした「みんなの選んだ一品」という一般投票イベントを受賞展期間中および受賞祝賀会にて実施します。受賞展に来場された一般の方も参加して、みんなが一番好きなデザインを投票で選びます。「みんなの選んだ一品」は正式な「賞」ではなく、あくまでも「人気投票」的な位置づけです。この投票結果も11月5日の受賞祝賀会で発表します。「みんなの選んだ一品」に選ばれた受賞対象の受賞者にも、11月5日の受賞祝賀会の発表時に記念プレゼンテーションを行っていただきます。こちらも事前の通知やリハーサルはありません。金賞受賞者として登壇された方の中から、「みんなの選んだ一品」に選ばれた方にその場でぶっつけ本番でプレゼンテーションしていただきます。こちらに選ばれた場合に使用するプレゼンテーションの投影資料（スライド）は、大賞受賞に備えた投影資料（スライド）と共通のものを10月28日までに主催者が指定する方法でアップロードしてください。投票イベントへの参加方法は、10月中旬ころお知らせします。
  • 11月1日〜5日で開催する2024年度グッドデザイン賞受賞展に設けるトークステージにおいて、「みんなの選んだ一品」投票促進のためのプレゼンテーションの機会をご用意する予定です。詳細は、グッドデザイン金賞受賞内定通知時（10月上旬）に個別にメールで通知します。

■ If you don't win any special award

You win GOOD DESIGN BEST100 only.

■ If you win Good Forcus Award

  1. On October 16, the special award winners will be announced along with GOOD DESIGN AWARD and GOOD DESIGN BEST100. (There is nothing special you need to do, but please announce and publish your award after this date.)
  2. One representative from each award-winning team is invited to appear on stage for introduction at the Award Ceremony to be held on November 5th. Please provide the following information about the representative to the organizer by November 1st:

※Representatives of Good Forcus Award winners will also be able to enter the venue from 13:30, the same time as general attendees.

■ If selected for the Good Design Gold Award

Recipients of the Good Design Gold Award will become Candidates for the Grand Award.

  1. Notification will be sent in early October via the entry site and individual email. Please prepare the following

    1.1　By October 11, upload a promotional video (up to 4 minutes) as specified by the organizer. This video will be viewable by judges and award winners on the Grand Award voting site, and will be used to introduce the winning entry at the award exhibition and award ceremony. If not submitted by the deadline, the BEST100 presentation video from September 27 will be used as a substitute.
    If the language spoken/used in the video is not Japanese, please include Japanese or English subtitles.

    1.2　One representative will appear on stage at the award ceremony on November 5. Please provide the following information to the organizer by November 1:
    ・Full Name
    ・Company Name, Department, and Job Title
    ・Contact Email Address
    ・Contact Mobile Phone Number
    ※Representatives' personal names will not be announced on the stage.

  2. Grand Award voting by judges and award winners will take place from October 16 to 23. Don't forget to vote for your own entry. Voting instructions will be provided separately to accounts with winning entries.
  3. The results of the grand award voting conducted during the aforementioned period 2 will be announced during the award ceremony on November 5th. There will be no prior notifications of the results. During the ceremony proceedings, gold award recipients will first be introduced as candidates for the grand award, after which the grand award winner will be announced. The grand award winner will be selected from among the gold award recipients present on stage. The winner of the grand award will immediately deliver their grand award acceptance presentation (there will be no presentation for those who do not win the grand award). The grand award acceptance presentation will be 4 minutes long. In preparation for the possibility of winning the grand award, all gold award recipients must upload their presentation slides in advance using the method specified by the organizers by October 28th. There will be no rehearsal for the grand award acceptance presentation; presenters will deliver their presentation without prior practice on stage. Details on how to handle winning the grand award on November 5th will be provided in early October, along with the tentative gold award notification.
  • A general voting event called "Our favorite G-mark" will be conducted during the award exhibition period and at the award ceremony, with gold award recipients as the voting subjects. General visitors to the award exhibition will also participate, voting for their favorite design. "Our favorite G-mark " is not an official "award" but rather positioned as a "popularity vote." The results of this vote will also be announced at the award cereomny on November 5th. The recipient of the design chosen as "Our favorite G-mark" will also deliver a commemorative presentation at the award ceremony on November 5th when the results are announced. There will be no prior notification or rehearsal for this as well. From among those who have taken the stage as gold award recipients, the person chosen for "Our favorite G-mark" will deliver an impromptu presentation on the stage. The presentation slides to be used if chosen for this should be the same as those prepared for the potential grand award win, and should be uploaded by October 28th using the method specified by the organizers. The method for participating in the voting event will be announced around mid-October.
  • We plan to provide an opportunity for presentations to promote voting for "Our favorite G-mark" on the talk stage set up at theGOOD DESIGN EXHIBITION 2024 to be held from November 1st to 5th. Details will be individually notified by email at the time of the tentative Good Design Gold Award notification (early October).
