The beauty that is born of balance

Design is about the beauty of the relationship between people and things. We live in a complex society in which industry and the economy are undergoing bewildering change. The speed of technological evolution is also increasing. It is my sincere desire that, through the G Exhibition, you will be able to get a sense of how design brings forth beautiful harmony amidst all these complex changes by creating a balance in the relationship between people and things as well as in the relationships among things and among people.

Welcome to the Good Design Exhibition
(G Exhibition).

The Good Design Award is granted for things that look like they will enrich human activity. This year, the G Mark was given to 1,212 items that were recognized as good designs based on strict judging. Also this year, we will hold an award exhibition at five locations inside Roppongi Midtown. The Good Design Award is both an opportunity to give recognition for superior design and an occasion to think about what really is good among all sorts of things in this time of change. I hope you'll take the opportunity to experience a variety of life-enriching designs at the G Exhibition.
